Throughout the years I have had the privilege and honor of working with the most fabulous women entrepreneurs. It didn’t make sense for me to keep them all to myself so I am excited to launch this blog series called, “I’d like you to meet…”
This week I’m excited to introduce you to another amazing female entrepreneur that is pursuing her passion as a FT, PT or side gig business owner. She may even be able to offer you a product or service you need or can offer up some sound advice to help you grow your business.
Without further ado, I would like you to meet Tami…
I recently met Tami in a women’s coaching group I belong to called the ACORN Academy. It’s a great group where women who have graduated from the same Brand Building Bootcamp come together to support, cheer on and hold one another accountable. (The ACORN Build Your Brand Bootcamp is also where my service Branding on a Budget was conceived!) It wasn’t until recently when Tami signed up to be one of my first Branding on a Budget clients that I was able to get to know her and her amazing brand/business more in depth.
Name & Business Name:
Tami Holladay with Holladay Coaching
Where can we find you online?
How long have you been doing your business?
I started Holladay Coaching in October of 2020. It’s been a year and it’s been amazing!🎉
Tell us a little about you and your background?
I am a Women’s Life Coach who works with women of faith and women in ministry.
I have 20+ years experience serving others as a missionary, ministry leader, pastor’s wife, and counselor. I understand the unique struggles of these roles and now walk with others seeking to make changes in their present circumstances.
I am married to the most amazing gift, my husband Chad. I am mom to three incredible children who remind me to have fun, make me laugh and sometimes cry.
In my spare time, I love hiking with my family in our beautiful Colorado mountains, gardening with my gardener/hubby, cuddling with our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel – Oakley, and chatting with friends over chai tea lattes.
I am thankful for the opportunities I’ve had to further my education. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Family Studies from Weber State University and my Master’s Degree in Counseling Ministries from Denver Seminary.
What prompted you to start your business?
I long to see women living a life of purpose in joy! where they are confidently serving others with their unique gifts and strengths. Where they can identify the false beliefs holding them back and rewrite them with truth!
I have always dreamed of providing a safe, non-judgemental, grace-filled space for women of faith and women in ministry to get real with their thought patterns, how they are truly feeling, and dealing with life.
Working in ministry is challenging. Living a life of faith is challenging. Yet, I believe you can see growth in your life as you have someone come alongside you…
~ to hold space for you to process how your thoughts are impacting your decisions and rewrite false messages with truth.
~ to help you know you are not alone with what you are going through.
~ to help you overcome feelings of shame or not measuring up.
~ to help you make actual and significant movement forward in your present circumstances.
~ to help you set attainable goals and take small steps toward completing them with gentle nudges of accountability.
…all while gaining confidence in who you are and what you have to offer the world around you.
That is why I started Holladay Coaching, because women of faith and women in ministry need to know there is a safe place to be real and vulnerable without it destroying their future. They need to know it is okay to work toward change in their lives. They need to have hope that their life can be one of purpose, freedom, and joy!
Who is your target client?
I work with women of faith, ministry leaders, missionaries and pastor’s wives who are seeking to:
~ Rewrite their false beliefs with messages of truth.
~ Walk confidently in their purpose and call.
~ Improve their ministry effectiveness.
~ Live a life of purpose in joy.
What does your typical morning look like?
To be honest mornings are tough for me because I am more of a night owl. It has taken a lot of discipline and practice but I set my alarm for an hour and a half before I have to be out of the house. This allows me to have time for my routine – I sit with a cup of coffee and read a devotional and sometimes journal. I am continuing to learn that the thoughts I start my morning with impacts the rest of my day. I then head out the door and the mad rush of the day begins. 😁
What is one piece of advice you’d give to other small business owners/early entrepreneurs?
Know you are not alone in your fears to start or keep growing. Take the risk, step forward and find support through a coach, a friend, a group to encourage you along. Find someone who will help you gain awareness of the false beliefs that might be holding you back and causing fear so that you can also discover and rewrite it with the truth. Don’t compare your process of running a business to others. The truth is that you have unique gifts that can help you to serve others well. Believe in yourself and walk confidently in those gifts to serve the community around you and make a difference in this world.
A Little More about Tami’s Visual Branding
One question I ask all my clients before we begin working on their visual brand is, “How would you describe your brand to a friend?”
Tami’s answer included adjectives like nurturing, encouraging, grace filled, supportive, forward moving, change agent and productive. As we moved into discussing brand attributes words like fun, conservative, professional, simple and modern popped up. All of this is taken into account when we work on building a visual brand identity.
Tami came to me with some colors she had already been using in her marketing and on her website. She was looking for a few complimentary colors and liked the idea of softer tones of blues, blush and yellows. Tami liked the idea of having a neutral palette but adding in some more feminine colors that would align with her ideal clients.
Below is a snapshot of her brand mood board that provided us with inspiration along the way.
Tami’s Final Brand Kit
Through some back and forth and tweaking until we got it just right, we landed on this gorgeous Brand Kit that represents Tami’s brand and business, Holladay Coaching to a tee!
